about

Recorded at the legendary Paris studio, Davout, A Day In Paris features the works of Hans Sturm and Tom Larson - including Larson's lyrical modal compositions and Sturm's suite dedicated to a series of jazz bassists. Additionally, the recording features a performance of François Rabbath's single-movement Double Bass Concerto #2 featuring an extended improvised cadenza. The concerto is accompanied by François' son, Sylvain.
